5 Different Styles of Wearing Saree For Wedding |Look Slim & Tall |Tips & Ideas to Drape Saree Pallu

Tamil Style Use a silk saree for this method. Tuck the end of the saree (non- pallu end)
on the right side and bring it around the waist to the back side, tuck it in fully while
doing the same. Bring it towards the front again and tuck
it on the sides twice, leaving some length of fabric in between as shown. Bring the saree around the waist again towards
the front. Now pleat the front end (pallu end) making
as many pleats as needed. Now place the pleated pallu on the left shoulder
and secure with a pin. Now make pleats with the fabric
left in between the waist. Adjust the pleats in the front and tuck it
in as per the flow needed for the person’s height, while doing this adjust the fabric
neatly near the waist and then tuck it in the center Kerala Style Use the traditional kerala saree for this. Tuck the end of the saree (non- pallu end)
on the right side and bring it around the waist to the back side, tuck it in fully while
doing the same. Bring it towards the front again and tuck
it on the sides twice, leaving some length of fabric in between as shown. Now make pleats in the front and tuck it in
the center. Now take the pallu and drape it around the
person over the chest and back once fully keeping the hands outside. Now with the remaining shorter pallu fabric
make 3-4 pleats and tuck it in the chest area. This is kerala style draping. Punjabi Style Use a chiffon or georgette saree, for this method Tuck the end of the saree (non- pallu end)
on the right side and bring it around the waist to the back side, tuck it in fully while
doing the same. Bring it towards the front again and leave
some length of fabric and tuck on the left waist. Bring the saree around the person and bring
to the front again. Make pleats on the pallu and secure it flowing
from back to front keeping it short. Take the pallu , bring it across the chest
like a dupatta and secure the end on the left shoulder Secure pins such that the fabric over the
chest is in a V shape. Secure the short end of the pallu over the
left shoulder, on the upper back. Make pleats on the lower front and secure in the center. Make the pleats set neatly behind, use pins
wherever necessary. Gujarati Style Use a chiffon or georgette saree, for this method. Tuck the end of the saree (non- pallu end)
on the right side and bring it around the waist to the back side, tuck it in fully while
doing the same. Bring it towards the front again and leave
some length of fabric and tuck on the left waist. Bring the saree around the person and bring
to the front again. Make pleats on the pallu, keeping the length
short and pin it over the right shoulder flowing from back to front. Now make pleats and tuck it in the center. Secure with pins on the back wherever needed
to neatly drape the pallu. Marati Style Use a silk cotton saree for this method. Keep the saree behind the person. Take one end over the right waist then make a double knot in between the saree across the waist right over the
navel. Take the loose fabric over the person between
the legs and make small pleats and tuck it in the back Now take the front length of the saree and
make pleats and tuck it in the center. Bring the saree around the waist towards the
front and make pleats for the pallu. Secure it with a pin over left shoulder. This method has a really short pallu length.
