All our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment

All our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment

The devil takes ONE Scripture and he turns
it around, he TWISTS it to DECEIVE wicked people who listen to him. And one of those
scriptures that the devil often uses to lead believers into UNRIGHTEOUSNESS is Isaiah 64:6
“He says and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment.” And that one verse
is used as an EXCUSE to DO SIN. The wages of sin is death and the wrath of God comes
on mankind because of sin and unrighteousness. We will all be judged by our DEEDS. If our
deeds are unrighteous we will perish. We must turn from sin and live righteously or else
we will perish. This passage of Scripture Isaiah 64 IS A PRAYER FOR MERCY and HELP.
Why did Isaiah PRAYED this PRAYER for MERCY? Because the people had SINNED, NOT because
they were righteous. GOD SUPPORTS THE RIGHTEOUS but HE JUDGES THE UNRIGHTEOUS. Now WICKED
PEOPLE take ONE line out of a scripture to make you believe that your RIGHTEOUS DEEDS
are like a FILTHY CLOTH UNTO GOD. You need to read the whole passage. I am going
to read from Isaiah 64:4 onwards, part of this PRAYER for MERCY. “For from of old
they have not heard nor perceived by ear, Neither has the eye seen a God besides Thee,
who ACTS on behalf of the one who waits for Him. Thou does meet him that rejoices in doing
righteousness, who remembers Thee in Thy ways: but Thou was ANGRY; for we SINNED, we
continued in them a long time. And shall we be saved for all of us has become like one
who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither
like a leaf, And our INIQUITIES, like the wind, take us away. There is NO ONE who calls
on Thy Name, Who arouses himself to take HOLD of THEE; For Thou has hidden Thy face from
us and has delivered us INTO THE POWER OF OUR INIQUITIES.” Does that sound like RIGHTEOUSNESS
to you my friend? Do not let the devil DECEIVE you. Go read the whole passage. God is a GOD
OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, He is a GOD OF MERCY, but here the prophet writes, he says: NOBODY IS
CALLING OUT TO GOD, they have ALL become WICKED and that is why they are EXPECTING the JUDGMENT
OF GOD on them, NOT because they are RIGHTEOUS. Don’t be deceived by the devil my friend.
The WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. Don’t believe those people who say to you
that your WORKS DON’T COUNT. Your works will determine whether you spend eternity
in HEAVEN or in HELL. May Jesus bless you.

  1. our works dont save us, and our works r filly to God if we try to lift them up to God as an offering for sin, we r not saved by our works, I DONT LIVE IN SIN, but it's only because my faith in the work of Christ on the cross. we must stop simnning but the people must be shown how to stop by there faith in Christ not by good works, bless you brother

  2. faith without works is dead. salvation is by faith in Jesus and his finished work but our works will be the evidence we are trusting fully on Jesus and we have a saving faith. blessings

  3. "God WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, . For there is no partiality with God." Romans 2:6-10

  4. Amen my brother. The scripure can be used to justify anything under the sun. People should not confuse their 'OWN' works with working to show our faith. They should also not call the workd of the flesh a work for God. When we work to please Jesus, this is the work that must be done and that must abound. People want to JUSTIFY their ways that are contrary to God and find many outlets where 'pastors' and 'leaders' provide them with this justification using verses as the above.

  5. Jesus is the final Judge and He will judge us all by our deeds. The wages of sin is death. Those who have repented from serving sin and their selfish desires will have good deeds to show. Jesus will also judge the intentions of all hearts. I will rather leave the judgement to Him while seeking to do those deeds that are pleasing to Him.

  6. ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2‘Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3‘So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. Revelation 3:1-3. MAY WE NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THAT DAY.

  7. @finalcall07 Thank you. How do I celebrate Passover? I have never been taught these things and what I am reading online about throwing all your stuff away and burning the rest… The special foods… I'm so confused.

  8. I wish there was a dumbed down "what you are supposed to do and how to live" version of the bible for people like myself. Even the "simplest" explanations on the Internet need an interpreter. Everyone in "the know" assumes that people were raised knowing this stuff and understand it. It is like me explaining to my 6 year old about particle physics.

  9. You don't need to celebrate Passover. We only need to take communion, the Lord's supper, We only need to obey the words of Jesus in the gospels to have eternal life. (Read the words of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It is so simple a child can understand it) May Jesus bless you.

  10. Thank you again. I will try my best. Just please pray that God grants me understanding and I'm able to live like I should. I'm afraid of hell but I'm more afraid of letting God down (if that makes any sense).

  11. You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of works, faith was perfected; and the scripture was fulfilled which says, " and Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to Him as righteousness, " and he was called a friend of God. You see that a man is justified by works and NOT faith alone. James2:22-24. The Grace (charis, Greek for ,kindness, favor) of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, INSTRUCTING us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Tidus 2:11-14. So you see that by faith through grace we are saved.. why?? Because FAITH that WORKS through OBEDIENCE purifies the heart by following the INSTRUCTIONS brought to us by GRACE. He who DOES what is right is righteous 1john3:7. DO NOT BE DECIEVED WE MUST FOLLOW CHRIST AND CEASE TO OBEY SIN OR WE WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM
He who has suffered in the flesh is done with sin. Faith alone can never justify. To him who has been given much, Much is required. Unless you are the the thief on the cross, you have too much light for we will all be held accountable for the light we have. Yes He empowers us, His blood cleanses our conscience, His Spirit guides us by grace, but we must submit. Sin hardens the heart and eternal life is yet to be reaped . Those who overcome, those who endure, they will be saved. Each has a different measure of faith and for that each will be held accountable. Christ is the way and our example. I'm sure in my heart the thief was done stealing, He was broken, repentant, and humble, he confessed his sin and would have turned from it had he lived. Of this I am convinced. Those who practice those things will not inherit the Kingdom. Christ is our freedom from sin as He guides us and empowers us to rule over it. For we are slaves to righteousness, for each is a slave to whom he obeys. God be with you in love and truth.
