Applying and Adjusting Your EXTREMIT-EASE® Compression Garment

Your EXTREMIT-EASE® Compression Garment is
quick and simple to apply. Begin by applying the enclosed EXTREMIT-EASE
Liner as if you are putting on a sock. Be sure to place toes all the way to the end
of the liner and work out any extra space or wrinkles to avoid discomfort
after compression is applied. For easier application, completely release
all four sets of bungee tabs and re-attach the tabs as close to the center opening as
possible. Loosen the garment by pulling against the
fabric to increase the size of the center opening and unzip the garment. Open the garment, ensuring the tongue is pressed
against the bungees, and slide the garment over your foot. Zip the garment to secure it in place. If necessary, rotate the garment to align
the bungees with the front of the leg and lift to position the garment just below the
knee. Upon first application, your garment may feel snug. Double check the tongue to be sure there are
no folds or wrinkles. Starting from the bottom set of bungees, grasp
the tabs using your index finger and thumb, and pull the bungees away from the garment,
contracting the space between the eyelets. Secure each set of tabs to the garment evenly
on opposing sides. Most individuals can achieve desired compression
levels by using the white and red guidelines sewn into the tabs with the white seam line
sewn into the garment. For lower compression, align the white guideline
on the tab with the white seam line on the garment. Increased levels of compression can be achieved
by adjusting the red guideline closer to the white seam line. It is not recommended to compress beyond the
red guideline. After all the bungees have been activated,
a gap between the eyelets is required to ensure the garment is actively compressing properly. Each leg has a unique shape and compression
needs. The gap or distance between the eyelets may
vary along the length of the center opening. As your treatment progresses and swelling
is reduced, the eyelets will move closer together. Once no gap is visible anywhere along the
length of the garment, it is time to switch to a smaller garment for effective compression. To check that your level of compression is
set properly, insert two fingers between the garment and your leg. Your fingers should fit snugly, but without
difficulty. If the garment is too tight, simply loosen
the bungee tabs and test again. Thank you for choosing EXTREMIT-EASE. Compression Made Easy.
