1. Enter ULA into the search box on Westlaw. 2. Do not hit enter, instead select the title “Uniform Laws Annotated (ULA)” from the drop-down menu. 3. Click the “i” icon for more information about this collection. 4. Find the law or subject area you’re interested in researching. 5. Click the link to open that Uniform Law. 6. Browse the different sections of the Uniform Law you selected. 7. Click the section you’re interested in reviewing. 8. Read through the section, and scroll to the bottom for comments and annotations. 9. Check out documents that cite this section by clicking on “Citing References”. 10. Click “History”, then select “Editor’s and Reviewer’s Notes” to find out which jurisdictions adopted this language. 11. Read through the comments, and scroll down to find out which jurisdictions adopted this section and if/how they modified it. 12. Locate the “Action in Adopting Jurisdictions” section for information about adopting jurisdictions.
