Crochet easy cardigan

I forget Stedman in this video I'll be teaching you how to crochet this beautiful summer cardigan is very easy to do is the semistate of last week saw a show that I should wear for Mother's Day gift idea you can see that we do our the link in here is very easy and fast to do and you only need to polish your DiSpirito so hope you guys like and thank you Detroit and here is the dista material you're gonna need some it if you're not already a subscriber please subscribe and click another block that way you get a notification digit and I published a video remember I promised them and Spanish and English so that you can Spanish video look to make this summer cardigan I gonna use this churn this is the same type of chart that I use last week for my show I mentioned that I wanted to do a cardigan with these yarn because here in Canada if you are living kinda you will know that you don't find a lot of nice cotton yarn it's very limit so this one had tons a cotton and so it's perfect for the summer you can make any summer peace with this they are Lion Brand show in a ball and they are 61 percent cotton 34 percent acrylic F 5 percent other fibers you have a hundred and fifty grams medium for and the color is lot lotus blossom and the number at the color eight 304 I have to bowl of this yarn I don't know exactly the mono chart that are you gonna use because as I work my is who you know flourish and I don't know the lengths are gonna give to my cardigan I don't know yet if I gonna do sleeves but I will give you a little know I'll leave a note in here and you will see the amount of channel that I only use once I know it again okay so the crochet hook is four point five millimeters you're gonna need tapestry needle and scissor and if you like to do with button you can put button or you can do to chain in each side and turn on the front what you can let me just open this up to you so last week I did my beautiful show same yarn different color and this exactly the same motifs that we're gonna do for the cardigan so I want to spin a little bit what I cannot do for mine I'm gonna make just one piece and then once I get to the length until under the arm I will divide a piece and three to four the for the back so for mine I'm gonna do four motifs for the back and two for each front so that will be a motifs I have five here and that was a hundred and twelve chain closed for to turn your work around so if you're gonna do these with a motif you will have to chain a hundred and seventy eight now if you want these for a median size and you want three motif for the back and two for each front that will be seven motif york to a chain of 156 plus forty twenty work around now if you want this bigger than mind remember you had to add 22 chain two ish motifs turn it to 20 to 22 and you have to add to the front and the back okay and if you want these just a little bit bigger than mine you can use a 5.5 crochet hook and devotees will be bigger and there will be a little bit more loose that before we start so I gonna do a chain of a hundred and seventy eight plus four for month I pull out the yarn from the center of the bowl so this is a beautiful dirty color I'm gonna do is look not I'm gonna start creating my chain up 178 and then after that I had to do four more to turn my work around so you wanna have my 578 here I have my hundred and seventy a chain now I'm gonna do my for chain two turn on work around so I gonna leave the last one looks like my nail right there and I'm gonna do one two three and four yarn over twice I couldn't slide my finger to the next one and in the next one you're going to call it if you want you can count six chain so you can do one two three four five and in the six you're gonna do a triple crochet chain eight one two three five six seven eight yarn over twice you wanna count ten chain space one two three four five six seven eight nine ten you're gonna do the triple crochet now you're gonna chain 5 1 2 3 4 and 5 twice and it double treble crochet in the next space it some time I mentioned double crochet is a treble crochet that I am recording in Spanish and Spanish a treble crochet is a double crochet so again you're gonna chain eight six-eight and you're gonna count again in Chains space so that's one two three four five six seven eight nine and ten you're gonna do a triple crochet over twice and another treble crochet in the next chain space so if you same the video from last week and you take the show you are familiar with this stitch so you can work just the sign until the link that you want until under the arm and then you forward the video and we meet there or if you don't seem that video and you want to do a show I will leave the link here or continue watching my explanation so here is my 24 stitches after this one you only gonna use 22 for each motif because you see I already done the two treble for the next motif and here at the end of this one is the two that you need to fold the next one please do so that's my only 22 that you need for the next so now you wanna change a again and create a motif in the center again you want to chain eight one two five six seven and eight yarn over twice you're gonna count ten this chain of space that's one two three four five six seven eight nine and then this is the most difficult part aft entire piece you have to find a chain number 10 handle loosen in the process so you're gonna chain 5 1 2 3 4 & 5 can over twice in the next chain space you want to do another treble crochet chain 8 1 2 3 6 7 & 8 yarn over twice and then 10 change them to 3 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 treble crochet and know the treble crochet in the same space and this is the repetition that you're gonna do in this room and you're gonna end up if you're doing the start to the same size as me with eight at this space I finished with truth travel so I started with to travel and finish with you so now you're gonna chain four turn your work around hey you wanna do your number twice and you're gonna do another trouble in toppity strip so in the second row of the show I changed seven but I work very loose in with a chain of seven and the chain get a little it's a little loose in either side at the motif of the center so now I gotta change sexes the only thing different that I want to do from this hole so I'm gonna change sex sex yarn over twice and inside this chain of five you're gonna do a treble crochet to three I six seven and eight I'm gonna change six to five and six get over twice you're gonna come here top of this travel you wanna do a triple crochet then over twice another triple crochet in the next double crochet that you finish your first leaf like that at the second row so that's the repetition that that you gonna do one more time when you chain six one two three five and six yarn over twice and make sure that this is not twisted you know never sometimes you're working and this will twist make sure that it's not twisted otherwise we'll be they waste away so tired you have to come back again and do that part so you're gonna do your eight triple crochet and I noticed that this jar and some part is a little bit thicker then order I don't have that with them or tuple of yarn that I used for the show you see and here these four stitches are a little thicker than these ones here six seven and chain six one two three four five and six yarn over twice and you're gonna do two triple crochet and one and now then you want to continue all the way to the end doing this repetition this is wrong number two I will meet you here to show you that you're gonna do from number three I finished one number two with the treble crochet and top at the fourth chain now again we're gonna chain four one two three four turn your work around you think that a hundred and seventy a chain is really you know like a very long chain but it's not once you start working the design is get over twice another treble crochet in top of that treble crochet now you're going to chain four one two three and four and over twice you want to do a triple crochet and top of the first treble crochet you're going to chain one yarn over twice and get your crochet in the next treble crochet chain one crochet like that you gotta continue in the East Room you're gonna have your a treble crochet with a chain one in between what in the master chain 4 1 2 3 & 4 get over twice and you want to do a treble crochet in top of each treble crochet and that's the repetition that you're gonna do and grow number 3 to show you one more time chain 4 1 2 3 4 yarn over twice a treble crochet top of the first treble crochet chain 1 another travel crochet in the next one another travel in one in the last one you're gonna chain four one two yarn over twice and you wanna do a triple crochet end of each treble crochet you're gonna continue with this repetition until the end and then after that we're gonna do row number four and that will be the last row of the motif and then after run over the floor we start all over again with wrong number one so it's very easy station I finished while number three now four wrong before Machine four one two three and four thread your work around get over twice and then treble crochet and top of that treble crochet now you're gonna change to your number twice and you're gonna do a treble crochet and top of the first treble crochet yarn over twice a treble crochet and the chain space and that's what you're gonna do and these multi double crochet on top of each treble and a treble crochet in each chain space make sure that you don't miss a chain of space that that happened to me before so my show let's easy to miss one so you're going to end up with 15 treble crochet and this motif my last chain of space and the last one hey you're gonna change to get over twice and you wanna do my rival crochet then you should double crochet in here another is crow number four and that's the repetition that you're gonna do and this room and those four row is what you're gonna do each time now in the next row you start again with Row 1 to 4 and then 1 to 4 and so on so show you one more time and the next one again you're gonna change to 1 & 2 yarn over twice and you're gonna do it travel and the first trouble and a travel on each chain space one the treble and another travel and the change space if you want to end up with 15 treble crochet you have to do a little piece don't do a little piece because I let skip one stitch in here and when I was working in there I realized that I just keep a stitch so I have to draw the little piece and again in that one from that one anchor incidents at us the one that was reported in English it's easy to skip a stitch if you don't know pay attention do the last true and again chain to turn over twice and I want chocolate crochet and top of each treble crochet here so you're going to continue with a repetition all the way to the end of this row and then in the next row we are going to start all over again with row number one and once you finished row number four they will look like this so now we're going to start with the repetition of Row one you gotta chain four one two three and four turn your work around yarn over twice and you're gonna do a travel and top on a travel Shayne eight one two three four five six seven and eight yarn over twice and this time we don't have the chains to by yourself it's easier now you're going to count one two three four five six and seven between seven and eight you're gonna do a treble crochet you're gonna chain 5 1 2 3 4 5 you can over twice and you go to the next space that will be between 8 & 9 and the top get your treble chain 8 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 yarn over twice and you're gonna and you're gonna do a treble crochet in top of each double crochet and that's the repetition that you're gonna do antes ro two or five minutes and either you finish the repetition of wrong one and here so I'm gonna finish this rope and then the way back I will show you how to do row number two three and four again just to make sure do you know what you do okay so is the same repetition you want to chain a you're gonna count seven and 18 seven and eight you gonna do a treble chain five another travel chain 8 and 2 treble crochet – is that a bad teacher now Row 1 now for the repetition of Row 2 you always want to start with a chain of for each row and a treble crochet now you're gonna change 6 1 2 3 & 6 yarn over twice and then in the chain 5 space you're gonna do a treble crochet that's one to three for five 6:7 any now you're gonna change 6 1 2 3 4 5 & 6 yarn over twice and you're gonna do the two treble crochet and that's the repetition that you're gonna do for this row that's the repetition over 2 and then I will show your row three or four and from there you're gonna take it all the way into the lane that you want for yours until under there before you start dividing the front and back one Street to record – you start with a chain of four and a treble crochet and then you want to chain four one two three four get over twice you're going to do a treble crochet and top of the first treble crochet you're gonna chain one eighth term crochet in the next double crochet chain one another treble crochet chain one the turbo fishy it is very easy to follow this party because it's only the repetition goes for oh there's nothing hard about let's travel so now you have one two three four five six seven eight when the chain one space in between one two three and four you never twice two treble crochet continue and I will show you the repetition on Row 4 and from there you can continue those repetition and tell you how to lanes in Japan there I finished a repetition of Row 3 Row 4 1 2 3 4 yawn over twice treble crochet chain to yarn over twice treble crochet in top of the first one and over twice a treble crochet in the chain space treble crochet and double treble crochet chain a space like that you're gonna continue to you have your 15 treble crochet and then you'll chain two and do a treble crochet double crochet in here and that is a repetition that you gotta continue all the way to the end once you're finished you go back again to repetition of Row one that is the repetition that I did here you're gonna change for do a treble crochet chain eight you're gonna count seven between seven and eight you gonna do a treble crochet you're going to chain five and then you gonna a the water'll crochet in the next space chain 8 and 2 treble crochet and then the repetition that is a second motif the same I love this so now you're gonna continue working like I mentioned before until you have the lane until under your arm you can have as long as you like and then after that I will show you how you're gonna separate the front and back and it's really easy what you have to follow is what I already explained those full row if you have any down and how to continue you just go back to any the beginning of this motif and start all over again for the next one so it's really easy you just have to start in here with the chain of four travel and then you age you can seven between seven and eight you do a travel you do Fi chain and in the next space between a and now you do a travel and then a chain and again do to triple crochet that's the repetition that is row so as a release so I will meet you here later when I have delays that I walk for my you don't have the lay that I want into under my arm where I gonna separate the front and back and I've done seven motifs one two three four five six and seven complete any measure 24 inches or 61 centimeters and I just almost done with my first ball of yarn so I'm going to need the second one to continue with the top of the card now we're going to separate the first front so you're gonna start again do stitches just repetition a row one two three and four yarn over twice a triple crochet and then we're gonna do the repetition or Row one and tell these triple crochet in here these two but you you were gonna be for the front seven eight over twice one two three four five six and seven eight seven and eight one two three four five yarn over twice space and then now you're gonna chain eight you're gonna do the two triple crochet chain eight and then you wanna do the stitches in the center here and chain eight and one triple crochet and top of this triple crochet this one and here will be for the back other piece I finished with the first row now I'm gonna shame four one two three and four I'm gonna turn my work around and I couldn't work on those two motif so now I had to do Row 2 and the separation between the treble crochet is a chain of six so how to change six more one two three four five and six yarn over twice and I'm gonna work my a treble crochet inside five chain space so you're gonna continue with the repetition or Row 2 so the end of this eighth trouble crocheted you have to change sex and do two treble crochet chain six a treble crochet chain 6 and 2 treble crochet so I will show you how you wanna finish the next row and here anistar I did a repetition of the last row automotive I finished the repetition of Row 2 now I start Row 3 I tease my chains work I have to do a double crochet chain for the a treble crochet with a chain space in between chain for the two treble crochet chain 4 and a a treble crochet with a chain space in between and then I will meet you here to show you how you gonna finish this row and start the next one so chain 4 now i gonna to yarn over twice and i'm gonna come here and from the bottom up I'm gonna count one two three and chain number four I'm gonna do my treble crochet so now again for the next row number four one two three and four chain you need to chain four separation one in to gain over twice and now you got to do a treble crochet in top of each treble crochet and a travel and each chain is space and that's the repetition that you're gonna do and one more motif to see it does take with for the opening of your arm see they start to take shape obviously so I finished the first motif and it will look like this and now you wanna do the repetition at this motif which is in turn here and then when you finish this next row you're gonna count it here one two three and a number four you're gonna do your treble crochet okay to finish this row and then turn your work around with a repetition that I show you for this one in here so I finished the second motif and in here major 21-centimeter so when here I gonna cut the yarn and I don't want to finish this one in here just in case when I do the back waiting here just in case when I do the back and I start put it together at the back in the front see if the opening for the arm is big enough for my sleeve okay so now we're gonna start with the back now I'm gonna start with the back we're gonna work in these four motifs or three if you do yours with three you want to start in here and this top of this dish this one here you're gonna leave these two motif and that treble crochet and here for the front so the color in here I'm gonna try to match just the front color no the back is likely the same because I don't want to have enough at the same color to do the front and the back exactly the same no matter if the back is a darker color the important thing is that I will try to match the same color for the front then the other color and the purple because I don't wanna have enough to hold the top the same color so I will find the color in here you see two to the front I started the outside to do this side and I will continue with this color in the back to matter if the back has darker the important thing is at the front no use the same shade so you're gonna do the repetition at these two row in here and you're gonna start with a slip stitch here and chain four and then you're gonna start with a repetition of Row one until here you're gonna finish with a triple crochet and then the next row you will chain four plus X that is the repetition that I show you here a repetition of two coming back from this I will is only one this dish the only difference between this one and the back is that you gonna have only one stitch and here and one in the other side and you have to start working from this side to the left make us that's where we start until here and then you're going to continue with a stitch exactly this thing I want to show you how you wanna start the first row here just in case you're a beginner I'm gonna do let slip knot and I'm gonna come here and talk about these treble crochet passed down loop and that loop will be my first chain that's one two three and four now we're going to start with Row one so you'll have to do a chain of eight one two three four five six seven and eight yarn over twice and you're going to count here 1 2 3 4 5 6 and number 7 you travel chain 5 1 2 3 4 5 yarn over twice in the next space travel and now you have to change it and continue and the way back when you finish the next row your code here always come from the first one up you're gonna count 1 2 3 and then the 4th chain you're gonna tell you treble crochet it's easier to count from the bottom up look for chain and that you're gonna continue with a repetition as I show you in this one so here I have 1 2 3 my first row at the for motif and I will show you one more time how you cannot turn your work around in here so you have to chain 4 1 2 3 4 and the separation for the next row is 6 so you will do 6 1 2 3 4 5 6 turn your work around and you're gonna do your 8 travel crochet in here and you want to continue with the repetition and till you get to the last one that you're going to count for chain from the bottom up and do you treble crochet here are the so when you start the next row you will chain four and four for civilization and start with a stitch and then they row after that you will chain four and two for separation from here to the other side I finished the back now I'm gonna attach the back to the front plus I need to do a few chains to be more space for my sleeve so what I'm gonna do in here and you can do the finish in the top the whichever way you like for mine I gotta try to do it as easy as I can and here this is the last triple crochet from the back I'm gonna chain four one two three and four and I'm gonna come here to the front and I'm gonna count one two three and another four single crochet one two three and four make sure there is no twisted I gotta look 1 and in the next space make a single crochet one two three four I'm gonna need here you see if I do it in the side and here it will be you see and here look like I left to but I really left one I did this one on top of this one so for this one you had to go to the center nice dish right on top of that stitch and I said cool and you say no crochet 1 2 3 4 you go to the back and this time you're going to count 1 2 3 and then number 4 you're gonna do a single crochet 1 2 3 4 you're gonna count 1 2 3 and a number for a single crochet one two three four one two three I can have four single crochet four one two three two three and four you're gonna come here and you've won the last one in here you see crochet crochet one two three and four and you're gonna come here to this triple crochet in the front if your line you can leave the line up until there or you can do one two three and four and go to the first treble in here pop the motif and do a single crochet that way is no loose then you can chain one cut the yarn and lose the tail or the shoulder if you're like you can do less chain space depending on the size of the opening for the sleeve or you can do more depend if you have bigger arms and this is too small or you can do a complete a motif in the front and back put a bigger size so you're gonna leave these and the front in here and I gotta cut the gener here but I don't gonna lose the tail just in case I need to change something in here I'm gonna leave the tail noggin are or you have got to do more chain or less chain supposed to have a little bit extra so if you have a different way to finish this up differently but for mine I gonna do a light-up tail long enough just in case let me pull this like that and this one in the front I just had to lose this one because I don't have to do anything else in the front and now what I'm gonna do is in my yard winder I'm gonna wind this jar until I get to the color that I won and here for the front because I'm trying to match the front see half of this motive is a lighter pink and this one is more like the purple color but if you're working with a yarn that when it is one color it will be easier because you don't have to match the front but I'm trying to do that that way it'll look weird with one front one color and then the other one a darker color now I'm going to work in this side and I don't want to show you in camera how you want to do it because it's exactly the same as we done the other two pieces you're gonna start like I just start start at the back from these treble crochet and here you're gonna start with a chain of four and then if you in eight created the stitch in the center for the repetition row one Shan eight that to treble chain eight the stitch in the center chain 82 travel at the end go back with repetition of row two yeah exactly the same as we done so far you wanted to motif and then you wanna attach the front and back exactly the same as this one and then after we're gonna be working on the sleeves if you want to do a slip for you I finished doing this side and I cut the yarn and here before I attach this to because I want to use the same color that I use in this side for this one in here so I have this one ready the slope not in here and I will work in that first chain 2 slip stitch here and then I start working back and forth exactly the same as I show you and the other side but with this corner that way both are the same and then after that I want to start working on the sleeves so I finished one of my sleeve and I did three of the motif and round and I did a four one two three four five for the length so what I did for that one and when here and open under the arm I still have to use this tail here and then these two treble crochet you see that's the triple crochet that you separate one way for the front and then to continue the back then here you're gonna start with a slip stitch and travel there and you got a chain four and then you're gonna do the other one and the one beside and then you wanna change your a and you're gonna skip one two thank you was countin the other side you just keep one two three yeah one two and the third one here you're gonna do the first motif so you're gonna do the treble crochet chain five and a treble crochet and then you gonna skip one two three and then here again you're gonna do the treble crochet one beside each other that will be this type in here and then again you do it your chain eight and you're gonna come here you see this is where I did the shoulder yeah attach together at the front and back and the center here at this four chain you're gonna do to the other motif so if you wanna do a treble crochet chain five and little treble crochet and then you're gonna skip one two in here again you're gonna do the two treble crochet together and then again in the other side and here you're gonna do you know the motive and then you finish in here and the first chain four with a slip stitch and then you work through the sign in the round and you will do it for the length of your one yours you can do it just with two multi three four or five I did mine with five is a little bit long is until here but if I do for it was a little bit too short so I decided to do one more so I did it with five so it's very easy so it's the same motif that we did for the body of the cardigan we're gonna do for the sea we're gonna start with this look not create a loop so what I did as I separated the colors of the jar that I have left over to my second ball of yarn so I start asleep with take a dark green so I separated the rest of the dark green I cut the yarn and I left the rest of the green and I didn't have my ball winder I create a little ball and then for the rest I have in here from the center out it's the same color that I have here to create the same color for this leaf that way I don't have to use a thurible I already went to the store and bought another one just in case but I don't think I gonna need this one for this cardigan so you're going to come here and this is under the arm where you have the two treble crochet and you're gonna come to this one and I'm gonna pass right through that treble crochet to the other side because I left the little loop big enough that will be to create my first chain one two three and four your number twice you go to the next treble and right in the center at a travel and now because we want to be working in the round you'll have to work some your stitches in the center of the stitch add low went to this side and here I went right in the center other stitch and create the next stitch and the top so now going to chain eight one two three four five six seven eight you gotta skip this space and the second and then you're going to go to the third one yarn over twice and you can go to inside chain and you go to the treble crochet one two three four five yarn over twice and the next chain space right beside that one the other treble crochet again you're gonna chain eight one two three five six seven eight you're gonna skip one two and in the third space you're gonna work so I can explain you just how to do this first row because the rest you know what to do the repetition of each row and that you have to do for the motif just to figure out where to place your stitches in here so you're gonna skip one two and then the third one here yarn over twice chain space crochet yarn over twice and in the chain beside so that's difficult to open chain space you wanna do you know that travel again you're gonna chain one two three four five six seven and eight then you're gonna come here to the center where you have to chain four for the shoulder and you're gonna do triple crochet one two three four and five you never twice in the next chain space you wanna do you know the treble crochet and you're right in the center of the shoulder of the bees so you wanna have it with you right in the top again you're gonna chain eight one two three four five six seven and eight and you're gonna skip one two and here's the third one do you wanna do your two treble crochet beside each other so now you're gonna chain eight and again you wanna skip one two and then the third one here you wanna do the stitch exactly like this one and then you're gonna chain eight and you're gonna do a slip stitch and top of the fourth chain in here after that you're gonna chain four and then do the treble crochet beside that one and then you're gonna change sex and you're gonna do this area stitches in the center and then you wanna continue working the repetition of the stitch that we done so far I don't want to spring you all the details because it's exactly the same what you done so far but you don't end around creating a slip stitch and here and then Channel four and then continue with the design exactly the same as we work the body and a piece so I think I explained enough the stitch for you to to know by now what to do on the C so I'm gonna go down asleep off-camera and then I will show you that so well this is the end result and I love this piece and I saw three bottles in here I saw them in one side and between oh – Trevor Project and in the other side I use them as a bottom hole so the fact it's very easy and fast to make a shallow very economic because I only use two ball of yarn so I hope you guys like it I think it sums up and subscribe to my channel if you're not already subscribe to make a space mean you want to save some feature you can also my facebook page should be stillman and you 2. Man o man. I was following good until I couldn’t see /nor understand how to attach the front. I’m so sad about this. I wish the frame of the cardigan was larger so we could see how. I can’t believe I have to frog this😪😪😪😪😪

  3. Ruby, I fell in love with this jacket as soon as you published it! I crocheted it up in the same yarn color and in less than a week then entered it into the 2019 Florida State Fair (February 2019) in my hometown of Tampa, FL. I won a 3rd place!!! I still need to sew my little purple cocktail dress to wear underneath and when done, I'dd add it to my Ravelry projects. Just wanted to say thanks again for your great videos…I have already made 3 of your items and working now on the hairpin lace sweater.

  4. Yes ! I've found it ! I first found the Spanish video, but looked further until I found this one ! I love your work ! Thank you, dear Ruby ! 💝

  5. Just finishing this project for my 18yr old daughter, who's going on her 1st girls holiday after completing their A-levels & I thought this would be lovely & cool for going for her evening meal. Thanks so much for the tuition & pattern.
