Crochet triple stitch cardigan jacket. Part 2 of 2

Hello everyone. This is the second part of the video tutorial “How to crochet a raglan sleeve cardigan”. In this video I’ll show you how to crochet sleeves, borders, ties, and finish up the jacket. The written instruction how to
make this top is available at: interunet.com/how-to-crochet-triple-stitch-cardigan To work sleeves, attach the yarn under arm and work three chains to pick up a height. Then work two triple crochets in order not to develop a hole. Then work triple crochet seventeen. Just into chains. One triple crochet into each chain. After the triple crochet nineteen work one decrease. And then again triple crochet nineteen,
one decrease three more times. At the end of the first round, after you
worked last time triple crochet nineteen, work one decrease, and slip stitch into the fourth chain –
one, two, three, four. One slip stitch. Second round. Work two chains to pick up a height. Then work one triple crochet into
each chain to end of the round. At the end of the second round work
one slip stitch into the fourth chain. Third round. Work three chains to pick up a height. Then work triple crochet one into each chain to end of the round. And then alternate second and third rounds. My fourth round I will work like my second round.
I will make two chains to pick up a height, and then triple crochet to end, and
one slip stitch into the fourth chain. And then my fifth round I will work like my third round. Three chains to pick up a height,
triple crochets to end of the round, and one slip stitch into the fourth chain.
And so on until I have fifty five chains left. After you crochet about seventeen rounds decreasing chains begin to crochet rounds without decreasing chains. Make four chains to pick up a height. Then work triple crochets to end. At the end of the eighteenth round work
one slip stitch into the fourth chain. And then again work nineteenth and other rounds like eighteenth round without decreasing chains. Again, four chains to pick up a height. And then triple crochet to end. At the end of the row work slip stitch one into the fourth chain. After you crochet about six rounds begin crocheting the border. For that, single crochet two. Then five chains. Skip three – one, two, three. Then single crochet five. And then just repeat five chains, skip three, single crochet five to end of the round. At the end of the round, after last single crochet five and five chains, skip three and work single crochet three. Then work triple crochet nine into an arch. After the triple crochet nine into an arch skip two chains and work one single crochet into the third single crochet of these five single crochets. So, middle single crochet. Work single crochet one. And then again, just repeat the process again, triple crochet nine into an arch, and then skip two single crochets, work single crochet into the third single crochet, and so on. At the end of the round, after last triple crochet nine, skip two chains, and work one slip stitch into the following chain. Then work two slip stitches, and five single crochets. Then make five chains, and skip five chains. One, two, three, four, five. Then again, work five single crochets, and repeat the pattern – again five single crochets, chain five, skip five, to end of the round. At the end of the round, after last single crochet five, chain five, skip five, and work one slip stitch into the following chain. Then work one more slip stitch. And single crochet one. Then just repeat the process as here. Into an arch work triple crochet nine. Then skip two, single crochet one above third single crochet of the previous round, and so on. After the triple crochet nine work one slip stitch above single crochet one. Then work two slip stitches. Five single crochets. And then again make five chains, skip five
chains, single crochet five to end of the round. At the end of the round skip five chains, and work slip stitch one, slip stitch two, and single crochet into the following chain. Then work ten quadruple crochets into each arch. To work one quadruple crochet wrap the yarn around your hook three times, and then work similar to the triple crochet. After the ten quadruple crochets skip two chains, single crochet one. And then again, repeat the process. Ten quadruple crochets into the following arch. Then skip two chains, single crochet one, And so on to end of the round. At the end of the round work last slip stitch, cut the yarn, and secure it. Again, back to here. After my last decrease I will work one chain, and half double crochets up to here. I have double crochet to my eighteenth row where I joined my front and back parts together. Now I will double crochet to my shoulder piece. Again, I have double crochet to my eighteenth row. Then I double crochet to my shoulder piece. Now I will triple crochet first shoulder piece back part, and second shoulder piece, and then on the other side like a mirror reflection – I will double crochet to the end of the eighteenth row,
and then half double crochet to end. Again, I have double crochet to
the bottom of my cardigan. Now I will repeat the border. Single crochet five. Then five chains. Skip three. And again single crochet five, five chains. Just repeat everything what you did here. For the first round I work single crochet five, chain five, skip three. And where I have the corner, after chain five, I will skip just one chain, and then I will continue the pattern as usual. Single crochet five, chain five, skip three, and so on. The third and all other rounds, I will
crochet using a larger size crochet hook. To crochet one short tie attach the yarn between two arches, and then chain eighty two. And work one single crochet into each chain to end. To crochet one long tie, also attach the yarn between two arches, and chain two hundred two, or as many chains as necessary, and again single crochet to end. Insert your hook into the second chain from
your hook and work single crochet one. And then continue working single crochets to end. To make the tie wider, you may use other
loops of the initial foundation chain and work single crochets back. This is my short tie. This is my long tie. Lastly, I will work reverse single crochet around this to triple crochets to make a hole for the second tie. Again, attach the yarn between two triple crochets and work reverse single crochets in the opposite direction. As for the regular single crochet draw one loop. Then second one. Make sure that you have two loops on your hook. Then draw the yarn through the two loops on your hook. Then repeat the process again. Draw second loop on your hook. You have again two loops on your hook. Draw the yarn through the two loops on your hook. And continue that way to end. Again, I reverse single crochet
the hole for the second tie. Lastly tie that. After that the cardigan is ready, and thank you for watching. I’ve designed this jacket to wear in three different ways.
