Dead White Man's Clothes Trailer

You put your waist bag on your neck You collect money, then you put it inside. Because today plenty money will come. As for us, we Ghanaians we call these goods as Obroni Wawu. That means the obroni has died. Obroni means white man. Everyday they come and they buy. I have a customer, he has been coming three times in a week. I think I'm a consumer too. But a special one. A different one. I'm not really interested in the African style. Sometimes I feel so happy I wear bright colors I could wear my favorite color blue. I could just put on just a white top and my Chuck's. It's about emotions. What your morning gives you. Fashion it's just about how you think. Like your perception. Your concept about clothing. That's to me about Fashion. In our generation now the youth they follow what's trending outside. So when they watch music videos they will come up and be like, "Oh, I want this t-shirt. I saw Nicki Minaj wearing some." Even if it's not the same They will go and make it Nicki Minaj style for the person to buy. When I left Ghana in 1957, there was no Obroni Wawu. Well, the only obroni who was about to die was the British as we were getting rid of. Society was divided into two. Those who wore dresses and those who wore what we called 'cloths.' But Obroni Wawu those clothes are quite cheap and very stylish, I think. So it has become a tremendous leveling process.
