Dress Attire — Stanford CDC

[upbeat music]>>Male #1: Definitely in a interview you really
wanna look your best. Just because it demonstrates the
responsibility and just the desire to, again, be a professional
in that role.>>Female #1: Well, I think, the dress attire
should be based a little bit on the company you’re working
for.>>Male #1: A lot of the larger corporations
will you know, kind of require a more formal interview process.
You know, startups, you know, pretty casual.>>Female #2: The best advice I have is to
talk to the, you know, if you’re talking to a recruiter before
coming in for an interview. Or if you’re talking to somebody
from the HR department. Just ask them what’s appropriate.
They’re not going to think less of you for just asking
that question.>>Female #3: I think for career fairs what
happens is students are coming in between classes so
they may be more casual. And that’s OK. In my opinion this
isn’t an interview. This is for us an event to reach
out to students.>>Female #4: It probably doesn’t need to be
as professional at job fairs. But definitely toward that end.>>Male #2: Start it off on the right foot.
Appearances do make a difference.>>Female #5: So I would always err on dressing,
over dressing rather than under dressing. [upbeat music]
