EM-1010 How-To: Framing Your Fabric

Hello and welcome to our EM-1010 How-To Series,
Framing Your Fabric. Today we will discuss: how-to frame your fabric,
install the hoop, remove the hoop and remove the installed flat frame support. To hoop or frame a garment is very simple. You just need to know where you would like
to place your design and have a flat surface to embroider on. Have your piece of backing ready, making sure
it covers the exterior of the hoop. The hoop itself is made up of two parts: the
top and bottom. The bottom hoop ring comes with a screw to
adjust the size. Place the ring inside the garment; then place
the backing on top of the ring, making sure it covers all the ends of your design surface. Make sure the fabric is completely flat. Reduce any extra fabric or wrinkles. Then place the top hoop ring on top of your
fabric and press down. Turn your garment over to make sure the backing
is covering all the areas of the hoop. Installing the Hoop
Your EM-1010 embroidery machine comes with 4 hoops. You will need to adjust the frame support
depending on the size of hoop you will be using. First, decide on the hoop size you will be
using. In this case I’m using hoop size “A”. Position your hoop to the right side of the
frame support bracket and secure it, placing it between the locking brackets. To adjust the left side of the frame support
to the size needed, loosen the screws and slide it into place. Once in place, tighten up both screws. Grab the hoop and align the left and right
side by pushing both sides in simultaneously until the hoop locks in place. Make sure the notch of the embroidery frame
connects securely to the pin on the frame support. Removing Hoop
To remove the hoop, grab both sides of the frame support from the bottom and push it
up to release it from the brackets. Then slide the hoop back towards you. Removing the installed flat frame support
To remove the flat frame support, first remove the screw on the right side of the support. Then remove the screw on the left. Once both screws are out, pull the frame support
up and release. Thank you for watching our EM-1010 How-To
