at WEBS and I do some of the crochet designs for our Valley Yarns line. Today we’re going
to talk about the Fleur de Sel Cardigan. I’ve been reading a little bit of Jane Austin,
so I had regency designs, you know the regency era clothing in mind– the double breasted
overlap with the two beautiful buttons, the swear neckline, and I wanted something that
was a little bit easier to wear everyday. I had a particular stitch pattern in mind
for a while and I couldn’t figure out how i wanted to use it and I had been looking
at it right side up and upside down and then one day I went into my studio and it was sitting
sideways and I thought, “That’s it! That’s how I’ll use that stitch pattern!” I used
Northfield which is my favorite valley yarn. I love the drape of that fiber, the silk and
merino content, it’s just a great fiber to have in your hands. }
