Halloween Costume Safety

– Hello, I’m Sheriff
Chad Chronister. Who doesn’t get a kick
out of the assortment of kids’ costumes on Halloween? But it’s up to
parents and caregivers to make sure those costumes
aren’t the cause of injury during the annual candy haul. Make sure costumes are flame
retardant, fit correctly, and don’t hinder
vision or movement. And add reflective
tape to the costume and the candy bag or bucket. Remember, too, that the children will be laser-focused
on candy collection, so it’s up to the adults to make sure they get
there and back safely. We want everyone to have a
safe and exciting Halloween.
