. . . . . . . . . . . . . Hi. I’m Katie Stiles with “Before and After T.V.”. It may be hard for some women to believe, but it’s a real challenge when it comes to dressing when you have a large bust, and the challenge is finding clothing that is modern, flattering to the figure and still comfortable, stylish, and I would like to show you how you can use a few tricks to distract from a large bust and also flatter a large bust. What’s very important is that the clothes fit properly. You don’t want to attract unwanted male attention, and you still want to look professional. If you’re wearing office wear and you still want to look glamorous, if you’re wearing evening wear, and just your day-to-day casual wear. So let’s show you some before and after: Here we have a cute dress. What is wrong about this dress is that it doesn’t fit properly: The line right here should fall under the bust, and the pattern on the top really just draws attention to the bustline and it’s a little bit too low-cut in the front. So, let’s look at what would be a more suitable evening dress for a night out. This is a really nice evening look, and what works about this dress, as opposed to the other dress, is, it’s one solid color, a nice, dark, color, it’s got a higher neckline and although it’s form- fitted, it doesn’t draw the attention immediately to the bustline. And also to accessorize with some nice, big hoop earrings or some nice, big dangly earrings draws the eye there. A nice set of bangles is perfect and some women with a smaller bust may wear a necklace but I recommend not, when you have this look, so you don’t draw the attention to the eye there, and it’s just a really beautiful evening look. So here we have more of a evening/night club sort of look, and the strapless top is really in right now. It’s a hard top for a large-busted woman to wear and what doesn’t work about this top is: number one, a bow in the front draws the eye there with the gathers here, not fitted properly, no support and the line right here should fall underneath the bust. A large-busted woman can wear a strapless top, it is a great look, and let’s look at the right kind of top. So here we have a strapless top that does work for a large-busted woman, and why this top works is because there’s a lot more support in the top, the line falls under the bust, this top has a nice pattern all over it that’s consistent all throughout, there’s no bow in the front to draw attention there and it just really looks great! Now, a big challenge is the office look, which has gone a little bit more casual these days, a lot of women still wearing blazers. This doesn’t work, two things wrong here: Not fitted correctly, so we’ve got too much of a pull here, and then it’s opening at the bottom, and the other thing that I don’t think works with this is the color. It’s just a little bit too splashy, especially when you’re trying not to draw attention to the bustline. So let’s try a different blazer and get a different look. This is a much better office/business look, and it works much better for a couple reasons: Number one – the color. It’s a much more flattering color for a larger bust and a professional enviornment and the most important thing is that it fits. There’s no pulling of the buttons on the bustline and therefore it fits right down to the bottom, and this certain look’s a lot more professional. Now, another tricky outfit is what could be considered business/casual, something that you could wear into the evening from your day and, again, another fun top. What doesn’t work about this top is the pattern, and the pattern just falls incorrectly. It draws the eye to the bustline, and it’s just fitted a little bit too tight in that area and really just doesn’t work overall. This is a much better casual/business/evening out for dinner look, and the reason this top works even with a pattern, and you can wear a pattern with a large bust, but it’s a much finer pattern spread evenly throughout the top and it’s got a much higher neckline. Nice and flowing, and it’s just a really classy beautiful look. . . . . . . . . . . . .
