Internal Render – Skim Coat

Joints between plaster slabs must firstly be
sealed using a special fibre joint tape Skimming can now begin, starting with the
joints between plaster slabs A skim coat is thinly applied to both the ceiling
and walls The same material is also applied
to internal walls as shown Similar to a ceiling, a light coat is applied Skim-coat is generally quick-drying which enables
the workmen to begin finished the ceiling soon after To ensure a glossy, high-quality finish, water is used
to aid in the finishing process
