Long-sleeve cardigan jacket – crochet long top

Hello everyone. This is the second part of
the video tutorial how to crochet a cardigan. In this video I’ll show you how to work sleeves,
join then into the garment and finish up the top. Complete details about this project are available
at: interunet.com/crochet-long-cardigan On this webpage you may share pictures
of your work and ask questions if any. Begin crocheting each sleeve using
a smaller size crochet hook. Make a foundation chain of fifty four chains or multiples of six chains to work sixteen repeats. When you repeat the pattern about two times continue crocheting with a larger size crochet hook. To widen the garment even more I will
increase chains from both sides of a row. Insert the hook into the second chain and
work single crochet two into one chain. One increase. Then single
crochet to last two chains. To increase one chain at the end of the row work single crochet two into one chain, single crochet one. And then work double crochet row without increasing chains. Increase one chain on each side again. For that, insert the hook into the fifth chain from
your hook and work double crochet increase. Double crochet two into one chain. And then continue as usual – chain one,
skip one, double crochet one to end. At the end of the row work double crochet
increase and three returning chains. And then double crochet row
without decreasing chains. Work one more single crochet row
increasing chains on each end of the row To increase one chain on this side
insert the hook into the second chain and work single crochet two into one chain. Then again, single crochet
to your last two chains and work single crochet increase
and then single crochet one. At the end of the single crochet row
work one single crochet increase and then single crochet one
and four returning chains. After that, continue crocheting the
pattern without increasing chains. When you crochet the desire length
of a sleeve, begin to decrease chains. To decrease chains on this side, insert the hook into the second chain
from your hook and work slip stitch four. Chain three to pick up the height, double crochet one, skip one chain, double crochet one. And then work chain one, skip one, double
crochet one to last six chains of the row. At the end of the row skip one,
double crochet one and turn. Work slip stitch one into the
second chain from your hook. Then chain two, skip one, double crochet one. Again, skip one and then double crochet
to last five chains of the row. At the end of the row skip one
and work double crochet decrease. Unfinished double crochet, skip one
and again unfinished double crochet. Then pull the yarn through
all three loops o your hook. Then singe crochet to last two chains of the row. At the end of the single crochet row
skip one chain, single crochet one and two returning chains. Continue crocheting rows decreasing chains. Work your first double crochet decrease a little bit differently. Insert the hook into the fourth chain from
your hook and work unfinished double crochet. One more unfinished double crochet. And then pull the yarn through
all three loops on your hook. Then continue the row as usual – chain three, double crochet decrease to end of the row. At the end of the row work one returning chain. Work single crochet one under a chain. Chain three. Then single crochet one under
a chain to end of the row. At the end of the row
work one returning chain. Again, work single crochet one under chains, chain three, and then continue the pattern as usual – double crochet increase into the middle chain and so on. Work just one double crochet into the middle chain of the last arch of three chains. And then work single crochet
row decreasing chains. At the end of the row work
three returning chains. Then work regular double
crochet row decreasing chains. Work row similar to this decreasing chains. At the end of the row decrease one more chain, skip one chain, double crochet one and then three returning chains. And then work as a mirror reflection –
work double crochet row and then single crochet
row decreasing chains. Join sleeves into the garment
matching patterns. To crochet borders, attach the yarn, make a chain, and then single crochet to end. At the end of the first round work one slip stitch into the first chain. Second round. Chain two, skip two and work slip stitch one. Chain three and then slip stitch one
into the same base chain. This is one picot. And now just repeat – chain two,
skip two, picot to end of the round. Again, chain two, skip
two, picot and so on. To crochet a knot, attach the yarn, chain forty and then work one slip
stitch right next to the chain. Cut the yarn and secure it. And then just make a knot. After that, the cardigan is ready
and thank you for watching.
