LuLaRoe // Styling Series: Sarah Cardigan V2

hi everyone it’s Kelsey lead stylist
here at LuLaRoe and today we’re gonna be talking about one of the pieces that we
all know and love the Sarah cardigan so you all know there’s so many ways to
wear this amazing piece we’re gonna show you some creative ways that we love to
style them so starting with how I’m wearing it I am just wearing her as a
layering piece how she’s meant to be I wanted to really make this red pop
brought in some great florals in this Cassie skirt and then I tied a Lynnae a
what’s great about wearing a Lynnae with a Sarah is if you want to roll her up
you can have that pattern pop in this sleeve too so you can just do that pull
that down and roll that up so I love it I love wearing this over just about
anything most of these fabrics are super
lightweight and immovable so it’s really great to just throw into any outfit and
start your day so the first way that we styled this we wanted to really bring in
this bright fun colored Debbie so what I love about pairing these two together is
this Sarah is really toned down it’s a great neutral and you could have gone
with a more monochromatic neutral outfit but we really wanted to make this pop so
again like I said with the Lynnae on my sleeves the sleeves on the Debbie are an
amazing just way to make this color pop here also so what I did is you just roll
this up since the fabric isn’t the same on the inside here we did a double roll
so kind of a thick roll there and then just rolled it back down and once it’s
on your body – it will be tighter and it’ll stay more but then you get the
great color from the Debbie also so here you could also throw a belt on her if
you wanted to bring in the waistline you could do a little tie at the bottom this
is always great for someone who’s a little bit shorter if the Sarah hits you
a little bit long and you don’t really think that that does too much for you
you can always tie it because that will bring it up so that is the Sarah layered
over the Debbie dress all right for the next look here we started with this
amazing Sarah I don’t know if you guys can really see the texture on this but
it is so soft we took this out of the bag and I was like oh my gosh I just
wanted to wrap myself up in it so we brought in the grays from the Sarah in
the skirt here in this amazing Jill and we added a
color pop here with the Irma so as you guys can see this isn’t a traditional
way that you would really wear this era what we did is we crossed it in the
front and then we tucked it under the skirt so what I love about this is it
just is a really creative new way to really wear your sara cardigan so it
just gives you this great blouse like effect gives you this deep V and then
you can always add that color pop underneath so that is the sara cardigan
tucked into the Jill skirt with and Irma underneath alright so I wanted to show
you this one next because this is kind of a variation of the outfit I just
showed you but just done backwards so it’s great about this is it gives you
another shirt like effect but then if you see in the back you get that really
just feminine and pretty deep v I love this I love that it just gives you just
yet another way to wear it so again just tuck her in to whatever skirt you’re
wearing and turn it around we added a belt here just because we were loving
the blues and the pinks we didn’t want the black on the waistband of the skirt
to really take away from that so we added that pink belt paired it with a
Lucy skirt and I love this look it’s really romantic but very versatile so
that is the Sarah cardigan worn backwards tucked into the Lucy skirt I
love love this pattern Sarah I feel like these are a little few and far between
you don’t see as many as these bold patterns as you do as some of the solids
are more tone tone down patterns so this brings in some pattern mixing just on
the Sarah alone has these great kind of corals and purples on this brown stripe
I love that I love it when Patrick does the pattern mixing for us just makes it
super easy so we paired it with this Maddison skirt bringing in the Blues in
this nice geometric pattern and then just to not take away too much from the
two pieces we added a solid underneath we added a solid Irma I’m loving this
camel color right now and I just like how it plays off the Sarah so nicely but
here my favorite part is that we belted it
so belting as Sarah is probably what I do almost every outfit that I wear it
with because it really brings in your waistline and
makes it really feminine you kind of get the bottom it bells out and I just love
the way that this looks it really ties the outfit together so that is the Sarah
cardigan belted over a Madison and an Irma
so the Sara is one of our most versatile layering pieces and what’s great is you
can really add some layers on top of it if you need to I know that some of us
live in areas where it’s super cold so it’s great to be able to add something
else so what we did here is we added oversized harvey here and what i love
about this is you can really wear this one of two ways you can have your sara
on like you normally would and you can either just layer this right over so
what your arms aren’t in it and it’s just a cute little almost cape like
jacket or you can put your arms all the way through it and if you do decide to
do that you can bring out the sara if you wanted to do this and then maybe
roll a sleeve then you get that pattern on the sarah popping out there too we
paired this with this amazing polka dot amelia as you guys know polka dots
definitely a neutral so we are doing some pattern mixing here with the blues
and the black and white I love this outfit again if you did want to belt it
since you are adding another layer that’s definitely an option here too so
that is that the Sarah cardigan worn with the Harvey over in an Amelia dress
alright and last but certainly not least we have this Sarah that we made into a
wrap dress so we’ve seen all your guys’s amazing posts on how to do this I saw
this and I was like wow this is so creative so we wanted to show you guys
how we did that too so what you’re gonna do is you’re just gonna take your Sarah
and you are gonna just wrap it over like that and to hold it in place you can add
a belt we really wanted to do this bold color blocking here because it’s such a
big trend right now so what we did is we just belted it with this really thick
belt I think that it just really holds it in place a little bit better when you
do have that extra width on the belt this Sarah if you guys can see I don’t
know if anyone has any of these yet this fabric is so amazing it’s really soft
and lightweight so it’s great for a layering piece in those
warmer months – we added this fun necklace and this is just a whole look
right here I love this it’s so creative you guys keep posting all those creative
things we’d love to see it so that is the Sarah cardigan worn as a wrap dress
that is all we have for you today thanks guys
