Mario & Luigi | Last-Minute DIY Halloween Costumes

Mario & Luigi | Last-Minute DIY Halloween Costumes

[MUSIC PLAYING] -Hi, guys. It’s Brooklyn and Bailey. And welcome to part
of our new studio. This Is the DIY part. This is where we will
be doing of our DIYs and crafts and
anything that a table. So this is this part of it. -And I love it. It’s super cute. -It’s so exciting. Hopefully, we’ll be putting up
a studio tour at some point. It will be exciting. But today we’re
going to be doing a hashtag B and B spooktorial. And we’re going to be
showing you guys how to create the costumes of– -Mario and Luigi. -Yes, and they’re
just super cute, girly rendition of
Mario and Luigi. So we’re super excited. So let’s get started. -The supplies you need are
red and green t-shirts, black and white felt,
knee socks, red and green and blue ribbon, elastic
ribbon, two sticks or straws, three safety pins, two
mustaches, two headbands, four yellow buttons, blue
tulle and white gloves. To begin you’re going
to take your elastic and wrap it around your
waist until it’s comfortable. Then tighten it about two
inches and pin it in place. Next, take your tool
and measure out a piece about 40 inches long. After you have cut
your tulle piece, fold it in half evenly,
take the top half, wrap it around your elastic,
and pull the straight ends through so it knots
around your elastic. Then repeat this
step several times with other pieces of tulle. Continue to cut
and know your tulle until your entire
skirt is filled. We use about 100 pieces of tulle
before our skirt was filled. To get into the spirit
of Mario and Luigi, we put our colored t-shirts on. Then we are going to
take our blue ribbon and measure from the
front of your waist to the back of the waist. And you’re going to leave about
an inch or two on the bottom so that you are able to
tie the ribbon later on. Take those extras of ribbon and
wrap them around your elastic and tie them in a know to keep
the ribbon safely in place. Next, you’re going to take your
yellow buttons and hot glue them over the knots that
you just tied on your skirt. After you have finished
that, go ahead and trace and cut out an M and
L from your black belt and two white circles
from your white felt. Once you have
finished cutting out your letters and your circles,
take that hot glue gun and glue those letters onto
your white felt circle. Next, you’re going to
take your red ribbon. And you’re going
to cut two pieces of equal length-ed ribbon
out and begin tying a bow. When you finished and
made the bow the way you want it to look, slide
it onto your headband. Then cut the extra
ribbon off of the bow. When you’re done, put some hot
glue on the center of the bow and glue your Mario
or Luigi sign to it. To make your mustache, go ahead
and take your sick or straw and also your mustache,
and place a dab of glue on either the
right or left side, depending on which you prefer. And place your stick or
straw right on top of it so the mustache will stay. And then voila. There you have your wonderful
Mario or Luigi mustache. We added a little
pop to our costumes by putting on the knee socks
that match our shirts along with Converse and white gloves. -Thank you guys so much
for watching this video. Be sure to hashtag
BBspooktorials if you recreate this costume
or any other costumes that you think we
should recreate. -Definitely. And also don’t forget
to leave a comment below on what your best,
favorite part of Halloween is, because I know
mine is definitely dressing up and becoming
someone else for one day. It’s awesome. And we’d love to
know what your best, favorite part of Halloween is. And I think that’s
all we have, so we’ll see you guys next week. Bye. -Bye [MUSIC PLAYING]
