OneKid Road Coat Demo

Hi everyone, it’s Rebekah here with Little Tribe Mama. I have James with
me here today and James is wearing our OneKid Road Coat Vegan. It’s the only
winter coat he has practically lived in this season. We get a lot of questions on
the blog and on instagram about the coat and how it’s used in a car seat, so we
wanted to show you today some of our most favorite features about the jacket
and also show you how you wear it when you’re in the car seat. So basically this
is the Road Coat Vegan. It is their medium to heavy weight winter coat that
they make. It is such a beautiful coat. This is a two and a half year old boy – he
is messy it gets into a lot of stuff. We’ve washed it a million times,
and it still looks beautiful like a very first day we got it. So basically it is
made of a split layer construction. So we have two layers. You have the Velcro outer, puffy layer that opens up to reveal the thinner, inner layer, so that none of the puffiness of the coat will get compressed in the car seat harness If you can see here on
the chest there’s this area of little grippy dots. That’s so that the chest
clip doesn’t slide out of place. There’s also the chest clip indicator here which
is where you would line the chest clip up – you line the bottom of the chest clip up
with the red line indicator to ensure proper chest clip placement. Also, James
if you wouldn’t mind turning around? You can face that way! This is the really neat thing about the Road Coat. It has a split collar construction. So when you put your child in the car, you undo the Velcro collar so that you’re not compressing the bulk of the collar as well so that it can’t compress too far in the event of an accident So now we’re going to show you how we wear the Road Coat in the car and how you would set up your car seat harness. So here we are we have James in his car
seat wearing his OneKid Road Coat Vegan so what you do and how you get your
child safely in the car is you take apart the split collar and you pass the
car seat harness right over it. You also put it under the puffy outer layer and
lay it flat against the thin inner layer. We’ll do the same thing on the other
side – excuse me James _ You do up the chest clip You buckle your straps, you tighten up
your harness Make sure that there is no bulk under
the harness and then you put your chest clip in the proper placement by making
sure that the red line indicator is under the bottom of the chest clip. And
there you have it – the OneKid Road Coat Vegan in action – thanks James!
