Refinishing Wood Furniture : Applying the First Coat of Wood Lacquer

All right now our glaze is dried. We’ve got
it all wiped in where we want it. It’s given it some texture and some depth. We’re going
to put a clear coat of lacquer on and this will be our first coat and this will allow
us to see what the colors building up to and also to see more protection. So I’ll turn
the fan on and we’ll shoot a coat on there. Now, we’ve got a nice even coat on there.
We’re going to let that dry and then will come back and do some more to the finish.
We’re still not quite done.

  1. The gun should always be held at a right angle to the work surface, not at 45 degrees. This will result in an uneven pattern. This is especially critical on a vertical side where runs can be an issue.

  2. How much god damned money did Jeep pay Google to have their commercials on almost _every_ god damned video I've been trying to watch?
