The Fabrica: Community Textile Arts & Salvage Workshop

The Fabrica: Community Textile Arts & Salvage Workshop

Most clothing today
is designed for the
dump. The average American
throws away 70 pounds
of clothing per year! The Fabrica is a solution
in their community. It’s a community textile
arts & salvage workshop. Where you can repair your clothes, make your own home decor, repair or make
anything you want! They stock fabrics,
zippers, buttons,
thread and more. Most of the materials
are donated to them
by their community. They have community machines. The volunteers help you
and teach you how to
fix and make things. The Fabrica is donation based and no one is turned
away for lack of funds. Share if you want this
in your community! Subtitles by the Amara.org community

  1. I was shocked and horrified when I learned of the true face of the clothing retail industry. No more fast fashion for me. I absolutely support of a workshop like this. I hope more will surface in other cities.
