Uniform Matters Office Tests New Uniforms

THE UNIFORM MATTERS OFFICE IS TESTING NEW
FEMALE SERVICE DRESS BLUE UNIFORMS AND A LIGHTWEIGHT NAVY WORKING UNIFORM. THE NEW FEMALE COMBINATION COVER WAS REDESIGNED
TO MORE CLOSELY RESEMBLE THE MALE VERSION. RECENTLY, WEAR-TEST PARTICIPANTS WERE PROVIDED
TWO PROTOTYPE DESIGN VERSIONS OF THE DIXIE HAT, A SERVICE BLUE JUMPER TOP, AND TWO DIFFERENT
SERVICE BLUE SLACK DESIGNS FOR FEMALES. LATER THIS MONTH, 238 SAILORS IN BAHRAIN,
PEARL HARBOR, AND GUAM WILL RECEIVE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF LIGHTWEIGHT NWUs TO SEE HOW THEY
PERFORM IN A TROPICAL ENVIRONMENT. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, OR FEEDBACK ABOUT YOUR
UNIFORM — SEND YOUR COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS DIRECTLY TO THE UNIFORM MATTERS OFFICE. AND, IF YOU HAVE IDEAS TO CREATE, OR MODIFY
A UNIFORM, SUBMIT YOUR SUGGESTIONS TO YOUR CHAIN OF COMMAND. FROM THE DEFENSE MEDIA ACTIVITY, I’M PETTY
OFFICER JONATHAN PANKAU.
