Wedding Fabric Selection – A Thai Silk Solution

Wedding Fabric Selection – A Thai Silk Solution

Hello everyone and welcome to Thai silk Magic. Are you concerned or maybe not sure what fabric
to use for your wedding dress? Well then make sure you check out this important
video. We’ll be exposing for the very first time
exactly how our wedding dress fabric is lovingly created. Here you see Ja Rin Ya, one of our master
weavers. She will take about 6 days or more than 50
hours to weave this gorgeous handmade Thai silk wedding dress fabric. And that’s just one of many steps in the process. By the way did you see the rolled up wedding
dress fabric and the 3 pedals used to make this 3 ply silk? So after the spinning, cleaning and the weaving
of the wedding dress silk fabric it’s time to start removing it from the loom. This is a very tricky process that takes lots
of expertise, care and time. Here you see Dao training too-ee, one of our
weavers, how to do this important part of the process. They start by cutting the warp threads. These are the tightly stretched lengthwise
silk threads that are the very core of the silk fabric. These threads give the fabric its body and
form. But extreme care must be taken to ensure when
it’s cut the tighly woven weave is not lost. Thats why you see Dao tying bunches of threads
together after cutting. The next step is to cut the weft or horizontal
threads from the loom. Once more this is done with great care. These threads are sometimes called the filler
threads as it fills in the design of the silk itself. Can you see the woven end patching that gives
Dao a cutting guideline? The unique way our weavers interweave these
weft and warp threads gives our handmade Thai silk its now famous characteristics
of combining durability and softness along with being so easy to take
care of. Hi hello everybody. Just now we have finished our fabric, 3 ply
silk. Really good, really perfect for a wedding
dress. And a really beautiful soft, really good silk. 3 ply, beautiful Look, I’m just so proud of this too. Look its beautiful silk, 3 ply silk. Really good, really good for a wedding dress. And it makes me feel like I’m going to get
married again. Look at it, beautiful. I just love it, love it.
